About Shiva Eye
This shell is known by many names and can be found on beaches all across the world. We first came across it on beaches in India so prefer to stick with the name we were first introduced to it by.
It comes from the Turban Sea Snail. It is the doorway, or operculum, to the main part of it's shell and the creature naturally disregards this shell when it moves house - this means that no one is harmed in the harvesting of this shell which is fabulous!!!
Shells have properties of being cooling and calming to our emotions. It is said to enhance our ability to go with the flow in life. The Shiva Eye has been used as a good luck talisman and to protect one from the " evil eye ".
In nature natural spirals have strong and powerful energies and are symbolic of creation.
